About

I have been interested in bento for many years. When my son was little he had a food aversion and later was diagnosed with ASD. Bento was a way to offer food in a fun and exciting way for him to eat. One of his favourite food was sushi so making bentos was exciting for him. I love the creative ways bento could be made into such cute little presents at meal times. I studied Japanese at University of Western Sydney and there I furtherd my understanding of bento in the Japanese culture. This blog I want to be able to share my bentos and some of the tricks and techniques I’ve learned over the years for new and experienced bento makers or even for those who just want to enjoy the cute pictures.
